This entry is part 1 of 11 in the series Des Moines Historic Districts

Des Moines has a growing list of National Register historic districts.  In order to be considered for listing in the National Register of Historic Places, an extensive nomination form must be prepared that documents the architecture, historical significance, context, and unique features of a historic neighborhood.

These nomination forms are a great place to start learning about the history of Des Moines neighborhoods and architecture!  Click on the links below to download nomination forms for Des Moines Historic Districts.

NOTE: This section is currently under construction.  Check back frequently as new nomination forms will be added on a regular basis.  If there is a nomination not posted yet that you would like access to, let us know at “info@renovatedsm.org” and we will do our best push it up on the “to do” list.
