  • Project Feature (Arlington Restoration) – Breanne and Aaron Barnum and Mike Hildebrand of Hildebrand Properties are restoring a fabulous home at 1942 Arlington. They saved this house from the City’s demolition list, and are nearing completion of a historically sensitive restoration that includes newly constructed wood windows that copy the design of the original windows.
  • 2015 Recap – (READ THIS ARTICLE ONLINEThe past year has been a year of growth for the Des Moines Rehabbers Club, and we look back with pride at the group’s accomplishments!  In addition to continuing the regular meetings (free and open to the public as always), the DSMRC hosted numerous renovation-related events, revived the Most Endangered Buildings list, started offering paid memberships, and collaborated with other organizations to promote renovation and preservation throughout the city.
  • Before and After – Some of our favorite monthly tours and online discussions center around “before and after” projects.  This year, Carlyn Wei Marron and Scott Marron tackled a major unveiling when they removed aluminum cover-up siding from their home to expose the original cedar shakes.
  • Membership – Our work is supported exclusively by membership fees and donations.  An annual membership is only $25 and is tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
